ZANOV est l’un des   premiers musiciens à innover dans l’univers de la musique électronique depuis 1976. Il réalise 3 albums de 1977 à 1983 chez Polydor & Solaris. Trois albums unanimement salués par la critique tant pour la qualité du son, que pour un univers déjà très personnel.
 
Après une interruption de 30 ans, il reprend sa passion en 2014 s’équipe de nouveaux synthétiseurs un Arturia Origin, un Acces Virus TI et plus tard un Arturia MatrixBrute. Il compose 2 nouveaux albums « Virtual Future » en 2014 et « Open Worlds » en 2016, Il créée tous ses sons selon ses émotions, en apportant une attention particulière à leur combinaison et à leur évolution.
 
Il se lance ensuite dans une période de concerts puis dans la composition d’un 6ème album « CHAOS ISLANDS » édité en 2020. Pour cet album, Zanov trouve son inspiration dans la « Théorie du Chaos », qui guide sa pensée depuis très longtemps. Il compose des musiques à la fois simples et complexes, ordonnées et imprévisibles, d’où émergent de la beauté, des émotions et des surprises au bord du chaos.
